Tribal 1

This is the result of my Tribal project! Modelled by myself Please compare it to the original fashion illustraition which is further back in my gallery these pictures were taken in a studio before the first fashion show. I had been a little pressed for time before the deadline so there were a couple of things still missing from the garment at this point, but I added them after the show in time to hand in the final project. The piece was inspired by 'tribe' as a concept but also the military as a sort of tribe in itself (a little controvercial) and also 'carnival' after I had been to the Barbados Kadooment Carnival and took a lot of pictures and was very inspired by that. It also has horns and spines that I made with different textiles techniques, and the message 'Wild & Free' which was inspired by the music videos of Ruslana.
